About Bill Halsey

I am an organist, pianist, violinist, and singer. I write about historic organs for the Diapason Magazine. I translated the novel Sinekli Bakkal from Turkish to English and am interested in folk literature and theater. When I was in Cairo I went to many theatrical pieces that mixed music story and dancing, using the traditional Egyptian dancing (similar to balcan dancing and the Italian pizzica) and Ottoman art forms like the shadow images.
